AmAzE Uptime is a product of AmAzE Security B.V., a Netherlands-based security company. We built the monitoring tool we wished existed: simple to set up, honest in pricing, security-focused by design, and respectful of European privacy law.
Who we are
AmAzE Security B.V. is a Dutch security company focused on building practical tools that help businesses run more securely and reliably. AmAzE Uptime is our hosted website and API monitoring service - the day-to-day operational tool that complements our broader security work.
We're based in the Netherlands, which means AmAzE Uptime is subject to Dutch and EU law from the ground up. When we say "GDPR-native," we mean our own legal obligations require us to treat your data responsibly - not just a policy we added because marketing told us to.
Why we built AmAzE Uptime
We use monitoring tools ourselves for our own projects and clients. The available options were either too expensive (justified only for large engineering teams), too feature-bloated (requiring a 30-minute onboarding), or based in the US (introducing GDPR data-transfer complexities for European clients).
So we built AmAzE Uptime with three goals:
- Simple to set up - paste a URL, press save. Monitoring starts in under 60 seconds. No agents, no code changes, no configuration files.
- Security-conscious by default - HMAC-signed webhook payloads, randomly generated unguessable status page tokens, bcrypt-hashed passwords, session cookies with HttpOnly + SameSite flags. These aren't features you turn on - they're the baseline.
- Honest pricing - three flat-rate plans. No per-seat fees, no "contact sales" tiers, no data-retention walls. You can see the price and features on the homepage without talking to anyone.

Security first, not security theatre
Every design decision considers the security implications. We don't add locks for show - we add them because they matter.
Simplicity over feature bloat
We ship features that solve real problems. We don't add settings for the sake of looking feature-rich. The goal is that a new user can be monitoring in under 60 seconds.
Transparency
Honest pricing on the homepage. A real privacy policy that explains exactly what we store (and what we don't). A comparison page that admits where competitors are stronger.
Privacy as a right, not a feature
We don't use advertising trackers, analytics platforms, or third-party fingerprinting. No cookies beyond session and CSRF. Your data is yours.
What we do with your data
AmAzE Uptime collects what's strictly necessary to operate the service:
- Your email address - to send uptime alerts, SSL warnings, and recovery notifications.
- The URLs you add to monitor - to perform checks and record results.
- HTTP check results - response times, status codes, headers, and partial response bodies. This is your incident log data.
We do not sell data. We do not use advertising networks. We do not track you across the web. The only third-party processors we use are Mailjet (to deliver your alert emails) and Mollie (to process subscription payments). Both operate under GDPR-compliant data processing agreements.

Technical commitments
- All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS - unencrypted connections are rejected.
- Passwords hashed with bcrypt - we cannot see or recover your password.
- Session cookies set with HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax - protected against XSS and CSRF.
- Webhook payloads signed with HMAC-SHA256 - your endpoint can verify authenticity.
- Per-monitor status page URLs use cryptographically random 20-character tokens - not sequential IDs or guessable slugs.
- No agents or software installed on your server - we monitor from the outside.
